I got there just in time to see Paradoxx. They were only the second band, playing fairly early on Friday (I think the second stage hadn’t even started yet), so there was not much of a crowd. I think they played well but it was a really short set (5 or 6 songs). They opened with a new song called “Unbroken” which I quite enjoyed, but I didn’t really care for the other new song they played. The old songs were well done. I remember being really thrilled with “Night Ryder”. Also talked with the guys after the show and they were really cool. They said they are working on a new CD which will also be an EP and will feature some new songs and some rerecordings of old songs.
Thanks for the update. I checked out a few performance videos of the band on youtube that were done prior to this festival and they sounded not bad. The vocals are done a little different on some songs which wasn't that thrilling to me but still enjoyable. Again, with all the talk of obscure bands and records that take place here I thought there would be more discussion about this one.

I thought Paradoxx sounded like the grunge-metal that plays on rural FM radio.

Unfortunately, the promoters had economic issues and couldn't pay for our flight tickets and had to cut us off. We hope Split Heaven can assist next year, the festival is getting better year by year as I heard.

Cheers to all!

This doesn't sound very "grunge" to me...

True, but they played the same set and it sounded pretty much the same to me. One of the new songs they played maybe fits that description, but I can't remember the name of it.

Crap, Avenger agreed with me. I take it back!

Seriously though if that's how they sounded to you that's cool. We all have different reactions to music. I just thought they sounded good is all.
