There is currently a Chilean and Brasilian (spelling?) mafia ongoing, which releases tons of Thrash Metal CDs. And real good ones though. Worth to mention for the old-school brutal approach without any modern stuff:
Andralls, Farscape, Sodomizer, Violator and thousand others from Brasil
Assault, Death Smell, Disaster, Miserycore, Nimrod, Necropsia, Torform and a zillion others from Chile

But to mention soem of the best I discovered lately:
* Hellish Crossfire from Germany. Haven't heard such godly riffs since the first Darkness LP. So damn cool old-German Thrash. All hail I Hate Records.
* Vesen from Norway rule too, as they don't rip off Kreator '85 but are influenced from Kreator '87. As well as Audiopain.
* With Holocaust and Incinerator, Sweden hat two mega-cool Thrash bands. And Terrorama wins the brutal Thrash battle.

Thrash? I thought thrash was supposed to include some rhythm, some guitar playing, some cool drumming, a couple of shredding guitar solos and overall some feeling. I have a hard time to hear anything of this on Terrorama's releases. There are 12-year old guys doing thrash, or any metal music for that sake, better than Terrorama.
Well, that's a matter of taste. I don't reduce my rating for Terrorama that it was a demo that got re-released on LP. Fact is: I have as huge LP/CD collection at home, but that Terrorama record got played once or twice every month. The opener is by far one of the best brutal Thrash songs I heard in a long long time, without any Retro-cloning. As said, it is just a matter of taste. And their new Rehearsal demo slays as well in my opinion. Others may disagree with my opinion of course ;).

South American scene is surely filled with young thrash thirsty bands these days. I have to agree with ETERENAL DEVASTATION, VIOLATOR, FARSCAPE etc. Great shit!
The Sentinel wrote: Which other new bands are inspired by masters like Dark Angel, old Kreator, Morbid Saint, Razor, Necronomicon etc? I need more of this stuff !!!!
If you mention those bands I have to promote our band which is inspired by them: www.myspace.com/jumalation

I'm searching for new bands with at least something of their own, which still do music with the 80s feel - not the horrible rip offs like Fueled by Fire etc. or black-thrash bands - any recommendations?

I ordered Merciless Death last week should be coming in the mail today or tomorrow. I've heard a few tracks, it's probably some of the best thrash to come out in a while.

As someone said earlier, Midnight kicks major ass. If you need new bands I will re-release the 2 year old demo with Swedish Vinicate (rip) on 7'' in some year, and that was the best shit around.
