Metal collectors of all genres tend to do that.

Damn!! This 40$ shipping costs for overseas buyers doesn't look encouraging... :P But I think for the "heavyweight collectors" that are planning to hit this, these costs look only as a "misdemeanor"!!

What a luck for the seller that just 1 or 2 weeks ago a review appeared on Metalpage, no?
For years there was no copy seen and within 2 weeks 2 copies appeared mysteriously.
Ok, let's bet, I say 1900 $ ...

His accounts gets suspended or exposed for shillbidding so he makes new ones to cover it up... I guess this is why anyway.

Yup, I remember the controversy when he sold Detest on ebay last year.

I wonder how he got his hands on the Witch record!

Be interested to see what that Zaxas brings. Awesome EP.

Rob- that Pentagram LP is occasionally pushing into that $200-300 range. Not consistently, but I've seen at least 3 copies sell that high in the past 2 years. I'm guessing the Battleaxe contained unreleased stuff?

Kristian- straps got the Witch LP about a month ago by dealing with a jerk and screwing over another buyer (it wasn't me, but I know the details). Straps paid about $250 for it, so he's looking to cash it in fast. Everyone can feel free to keep that in mind while bidding.

Prowler- I think you're way high. Last 1-2 sold for about $1,000. The music ain't that great IMO, but the big reason is b/c people do not like dealing with straps, so I expect a lot of bidders will snub him, especially those who know how he weaseled his way into owning it in the first place. He didn't get a good price for his Detest last year b/c of his shady reputation. I wouldn't place a $5 bid for it after the stunt he pulled**.

** Note- I'm not gonna provide all the details regarding how straps got it b/c it involved another forum member who may not want it all made public. Y'all know I'm honest and not prone to exaggeration, so believe me when I say that both the seller and strap- acted like asses and screwed over another person.

I don't need to know deeper details, that sounds like a usual Strappado style deal. There was some Norwegian metal single (I always forget the title) he managed to pester a couple of copies from a band member, don't know the details but he payed almost nothing for the copies, then he put them on eBay and shillbid them into the sky.

He also has a really nasty reputation on Tradera, he wins lots of things and never pay for them, then he always writes something in the line of "I was sick" as a comment on his negative feedback making it seem like the seller is the insensitive asshole.

And the worst thing is, he listed WITCH - Salem's Rise as his one of the main wants, and now sells a copy. That's more than stupid.

Luna- Yep. Also, notice that he d/ls from other sites all the time & then re-posts them w/o acknowledging the original site/poster. However, once he got his hands on mp3s of Witch and Metal Merchants, he didn't provide them as d/ls; you could only play the files through his site. Thus, when he's the first one to post something rare, he doesn't want anyone else d/ling it and posting it elsewhere, even though he does that exact thing all the time. It takes a special kind of asshole to be so hypocritical.

I think the entire Corroseum forum reported that auction. Serves him right.
