Each band had its moments, i prefer Manowar a bit more. Invictus was sadly the last great album from Virgin Steele and it is indeed their most Manowaric stuff.
Second favorite is surely Noble Savage and then the classic Guardians of the flame.

I happen to know Dan hasn't heard anything of VIrgin Steele post 1986, so there you go...

The Marriage of Heaven and Hell 1 & 2 along with Invictus are immortal epic metal way up there with early Manowar.

Their 80's albums just can't compete. It's simply shite in comparison to the godly stuff of the mid 90's.
Chroming Rose “Pressure” LP found! :D

Yeah that's pretty much word for word my opinion -VS when to shit after Invictus as far as I'm concerned - horrid & florid....

And really , if anyone doesn't at least like the first four Manowar albums ,all I can say to them is.... LEAVE THE HALL!!!

DEMONAX: "Same" LP

I hated it first because of the fucked up vocals and the seemingly non variable song material. Well, today I gave it another chance and it's becoming better and better. I'm pretty used to the vocals now and discovering a very great speeding raging thrash album with savage pieces of destruction. Listen for example to the cut "No More Rats"; it has this complete devastating main riff which reminds me a bit of Morbid Saint. The opening track "Underground" is also a big winner IMO. I suggest not to throw this album away when you are turned off by the weird monotonous vocals after the first spins, GREAT STUFF !!!

LUZBEL: Pasaporte Al Infierno LP

This is such an incredible album, heavy metal played with an unlimited amount of passion and dedication. I can't think of another album sounding like this masterpiece. The slogan "no fillers only killers" fits this record very well. What about that utterly obscure sounding choir on the back of "kirieleison", the divine vocal lines on "Guerrero Verde", the great soloing throughout all the songs, the amazing title track, the great epic mood on "Dejate Ser", etc etc. My fave song is the aforementioned "Guerrero Verde", this song is a HEAVY FUCKING METAL RIPPER!!!! The only very very very very very little complaint I have is the very loud bass, it destroys my two precious speakers when I crank up the volume button to my beloved "Are You Insane"-level. I think I rate this one 95/100.
