JOE STEP - SACRIFICE
Joe Step - Sacrifice
Requested by AxeCrazy.
I love this record, but it's a bit of a mish-mosh too. Kind of hard-rocky, but occasionally busting out into something really weird, like the title track. Hope y'all dig it!
By the way, this record (from 1982) is credited to Joe Step, and rightly, since he actually does everything on the damn thing; five songs have Butch Gordon on guitar and vocals, but Joe does bass and drums on those too. Which leaves just one question: Who the hell IS Joe Step??

Huh, I didn't hear the hum when I was ripping it--and it's hard for me to check the resulting files, since I only have the 1" computer speakers to listen to the thing through. Please do let me know if any of the other ones have it; I can re-do if necessary. Thanks!doomedplanet wrote:Great lp, have not listened to this for awhile. glad someone else ripped this record. There is a hum all thru the rip, is your turntable grounded ok? I have not listened to the Triple Forte yet to compare if it sounds like that too.

weird you would say that as I have and like tons of hard rock albums and psych too. Not like this record?, no way, some classic cuts like "Love" that are unforgettable.

Don't take the observation the wrong way--I know you have good taste! I wouldn't have known to jump on that Wild Pussy record when I saw it if you hadn't turned me on....

Maybe a TV is open while it is ripped...tomas wrote:I noticed the same humming sound in the Triple Forte upload. Like someone said, maybe your record player isn't grounded properly.
