Actually there is still a lot of interest in Vectom from dealers/distros. However, I was only interested in completely re-vamping the release with better booklet, bonuses and such, which at this point was not possible, so Andy is re-releasing it on Battle Cry for all those people which couldn't get it first time around.
Hint: there is at least one bootleg imitating my release I'm aware of (Russian bootleg) plus some South American imitations too.

Both Vectom and Vampyr Russian (or maybe Ukrainean...) bootleg replicas appeared shortly after the respective release dates...Helstar wrote:Make it 3come on this is hilarious... it's a little bit too early to have fake replicas of your releases, don't you think ? Maybe later ok, but already now boots of your Vectom ?
A Russian friend of mine, owner of the Metalism Records told me about both Vectom and Vampyr bootlegs being sold at Gorbushka market (the biggest CD market in Moscow). He knows the usual suspects there and he knew they are bootlegs.Do you have some proofs of that ? Or just "rumours" coming from friends of friends who read it on some forum etc.
This happened back in 2009, only 3-4 months after Vampyr's release date. At that time I haven't traded or sold quantities to Russia, so there were no chances of having the original release on that market in such quantities...
Vectom was sold out by that time. Vampyr sales suffered, but nothing I could do about it...

I think we never saw those two boots on eBay and I don't think they were capable to sell ALL copies privately too ... I still have doubt they exist.
But ok if your friend says that, I don't see a reason for him to lie, so it could be true.
According to MS two pressings exist http://www.musik-sammler.de/album/48628
One seems to have a red logo cover, another one a blue logo ... did you print both ? In the description it's said one comes with a slipcase and a logo patch and the other one not.
I have the blue logo one (no slipcase or patch though ^^), the quality of the paper and the printings don't look really 'great', the matrix is this: VECTOM c610055-2 (SM1-6A0090/2A) IFPI LP50 and IFPI JU02 engraved in the inner ring ...

Yes they do. I've licensed Vectom from them.perishinflames wrote:Doesn't Battle Cry own the rights to the old Gama catalog, or something similar?
@Helstar: As I said, those bootlegs came out in early 2009. They were showing on eBay quite often then, but since they went as current Stormspell reissues not many people realized they are boots.
I've known Alex from Metalism Records for many years. He had no reason whatsoever to lie to me. In fact he was carrying those releases for the Russian market and the bootlegs affected his sales way worse than mine. Anyhow, shit like this happens. You learn to put it behind and move forward, or close the label and find another line of work

There is no "red" or "blue" logo version. If you have the booklet you would notice that it has both album covers on each side - "Speed Revolution" cover has a red logo, and "Rules of Mystery" has blue.Helstar wrote:You really need a working brainand to think I said "I got the Vectom blue logo cd" ... you can't even read.
Therefore, depending on how you insert the booklet in the jewel case, you can have either cover shown up. The booklet itself is a 8-page French poster-fold.
Musik-Sammler.de has two entries, because first 250 cds came with hand-numbered slipcase and embroidered patch, which they obviously opted to list separately as limited edition.
Matrix codes on both "editions" are identical
