Agreed on all counts. While "Glory Ride" is indeed an amazing track, "The Eternal Idol" is not even the best Tony Martin-era album. I would go with "Cross Purposes" or "Headless Cross". Tony Martin era is my favourite and I am really waiting for those deluxe reissues of "Headless Cross", "Tyr" etc.ION BRITTON wrote:Amazing track, Tony Martin era is my favorite one.Zdan wrote:Black Sabbath - Glory Ride
Martin-era Sabbath is SO underrated.

Dissapointed with Cross Purposes? Can I ask why? The album is really not different in style from the rest of Martin-era works (except Forbidden). What turned you off? To me Martin's performance on that disc is stellar!Ernest Thesiger wrote:Tyr's probably my fave. I was disappointed with Cross Purposes. Still not dared subject myself to Forbidden.
SotD: Chasar, "Destiny".

Only Martin era album in a deluxe edition that is out as of today is "The Eternal Idol". The bonus disc are is "The Eternal Idol" recording with Ray Gillen so to me it is a must buy. The album sounds awesome too so I highly reccomend it.ION BRITTON wrote:What about those deluxe editions? I do not know a thing about them. Are they already out?
As for the other albums word is out that all Sabbath albums will get the deluxe edition treatment including the other Martin era albums, it just has not happened yet.
