I can try to scan the ones that I have with the booklet if needed. I hope I have the originals anyway. If someone comes upon a way to distinguish the originals from the boots it would be great.ION BRITTON wrote:Zdan wrote:I don't own the originals, but the boots seems like very identical ones except for some blurring on the artwork.ION BRITTON wrote:
Cool. I know mine are okay then. Any differences between the original and bootles or are they totally identical?
Bootleg Warning Thread - CD (2012)
Re: Dealer - cd
the Dealer - first Strike cd was published exactly as the band wanted. the layout / tracks were made and approved from the band. I can only talk about the cds of ONR label. For other cds i have no idea and i cannot answer you.Zdan wrote:The problem with this is actually that most of the albums we are talking about are fairly obscure and most people jump at a chance of a legit reissue because they know it is not very likely that another label will do it with better packaging or sound. So they buy what is available and are happy.akira wrote:It would be better if you ripped the vinyl . Sound on First Strike is very bad.George A wrote:Hello
to clear everything concerning Dealer cds that was mentioned here.
Dealer - bootlegged cd:
AND
dealer - First Strike cd:
ARE 100000% official releases with the permission of the band.
Both releases are on my label "Obscure Nwobhm Releases".
Dealer - First Strike is a co-operation with No remorse records
YES the First strike is straight from the bands master and not rip-vinyl copy or low mp3 recordings.
Dealer - first strike is the one and only Legit release on cd format. all others are not released with the permission of the band.
thanks

I was also disappointed with other resissues. They sound pretty bad. Although the idea for reissuing these awesome albums is great , I found pretty annoying that you didn't make some effort to make these cd's sound best as possible. This way they sound and look like some cheap bootlegs. Opportunity missed and what's more people are giving money for these cd's.
As for the Tyrant Art Of Music/Brainstorm Division bootlegs I did some digging around and apart from a few ebay listings and Metal Treasures database I got NO info on those. Are they truly identical? I was hoping of hunting down the Brainstorm division pressing of the first Steel Prophet album but that seems to be bootlegged as well.
Wombbath, Authorize, Merciless, Excruciate bootlegs???

Is there really a chance for this not to be a bootleg? I never heard of an official Cobra CD reissue. I've seen something similar around (the two Cobra LPs in one Cd) but smells like a bootleg from a mile.

Yeah, I was almost sure myself, too. I just wanted to confirm beyond doubt...ION BRITTON wrote:Bootleg of course. In the same CD series with RANKELSON, INCUBUS, MILLENNIUM etcPriamos wrote:Original??
