Hi!
I collect Roadrunner Records on CD.
I would also like to collect NWOBHM-bands. On CD. I prefer collectiing a whole label's releases, as I think that is fun. I prefer hard rock-style NWOBHM, not the more aggressive metal style.
I prefer the period 1978-1982. As far as I know, there were no specific hard rock record labels before Neat and Ebony? Wasn't many bands snapped up by major non-hard rock labels like EMI, MCA, Mercury, Polydor and such? But blergh, I don't want the whole catalogue from EMI...
So, do you have any suggestions on record labels that have released many NWOBHM albums on CD? Re-issue label is ok, and Japanese labels also.
Hoping for your help!

Almost every major label "snapped up" at least one NWOBHM group.Shiremen wrote:Hi!

Since back then business was a little bit more about the actual music there are many releases (and CD-rereleases) worth while ...
From your post I get that you are well aware there can not be any original CD-releases form 1978-1982, which leaves the usual recycling labels: Sanctuary, Neat Metal, High Vaultage, British Steel ...
Of a "specific hard rock record label" I have never heard in my life ...

Some examples to start with:

http://www.musik-sammler.de/media/395002
http://www.musik-sammler.de/media/2501.
I have seen you are also registered on musik-sammler.de;
Coming from the main page try "Detailsuche" then "Label" = Neat, Neat Metal, Neat Metal Records with "Suche starten".
This should give you an idea.

I think you meant this one:

As the one you linked to is a bootleg.
