Raven had awesome albums in 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984...and really sold-out with "Stay Hard" in 1985.

With Anvil they had awesome albums in 1981, 1982, 1983 just like Raven.

These were my favorite albums the first 3 Anvil and Ravens alongside the first Mercyful Fate ep, before Megaforce put out Metallica "Kill em All" in July 1983. Even though the 3rd Raven came out in August 1983.

Back then in 1982 and 1983 I mostly liked Raven and Anvil and Motorhead and Tank....because back then...I really did not wrap my brain around the Venom albums. It was not until Raven sold-out with Stay Hard, I started listening to the Venom back-catalogue.

The first 4 Ravens and Anvils go hand in hand !!!!!! Raven had for the fourth album a live album and Anvil had a compilation album.

I really like Anvil, but I love Raven. No-brainer.

Definitely Anvil. The might of "Metal On Metal" and especially "Forged In Fire" cannot de disputed. Do not get me wrong - Raven was a great band but for example their new album was pretty bland while Anvil's "Juggernaut Of Justice" was a great release.
