newer bands like fates warning, early queensryche, etc?

New bands, new releases, new metallic events, reissues, post-millenia-Metal in general...

Check Dark Black from the US, album released by Stormspell in 2009. One of the best new bands I heard in recent years.

Hmm, what's the point of posting a cover? (even though it was a great cover) From what I remember their original material seemed quite standard and not few Fates Warning... but maybe I should revisit.

There is a shit load of early Queensryche-influenced bands, so I'll focus on (early) Fates warning, which is easier to handle. Once again not too late stuff...

The topic says "like [...] early queensryche" so I thought this cover would convice you all of the vocalist's qualities.
Please check their current record "Man or machine", pure QR/US Metal worship.

Alpha Tiger is great.

Something for the threadstarter, but not very new (1994), is the Lord Bane "Age Of Elegance"-album. Great cd.
