What is VIRGIN SOLDIERS???
Can you describe the style/compare it to other groups?
There's a review at metalpage.de
It's a pretty good heavy metal album with some tendencies towards more melodic "hard rock" stuff. Has loads of energy, very "Aussie", if that makes any sense to you.

The cover on my copy is really thin and flimsy - were all copies like that?
I know I ain't doing much,
doing nothing means a lot to me.

Yes, mine has the same ultra thin cover, makes you affraid to even look at it.
Where were you in '79 when the dam began to burst

Hmmm....the MLP cover is almost normal, but their LP sleeve is as thin as toilet paper. I don't dare to touch it. But musically the Virgin Soldiers are pretty much NWOBHM influenced with strong Boogie beat in places and killer guitar solos where they are almost Power Metal. Just the vocalist makes me headaches sometimes. He's for sure not everybody's darling.

Nice pic Patrik!

I'll try to get off my lazy butt this weekend and take a picture or two to add; I have one that, while not rare, should make a neat picture

Is your Randy 7" autographed? A friend of mine who was tapetrading with me found all these danish bands and bought the last copies with most of them autographed by a band member. I got all the stuff for about 5 $ incl. several copies Crystal Knight and Randy. Believe it or not (I know that Randy 7" is the non-plus-ultra in Greece) I couldn't get the last Randy copy sold for only 15 $ in the 90's because noone was interested. Nowadays you can be happy to get a copy for 100 $ plus mine were all autographed. Strange times....sometimes.

That was me.

When I got the first batch (around 30 copies) of Randy singles in the mid 90's they were all autographed by the three members on the back cover. The one I bought in 1986 was autographed as well. I actually thought those autographs was printed on the cover, it looks a bit like it doesn't it ?

Then years later I got hold of another small batch with no autographs..

My Danish is not perfect, but here's a decent translation:

"To the press:

Hunting for the parrot [not quite sure what they mean by this] - in this case a record contract, which also preferably includes the great abroad, the band Randy have chosen to present their swinging, melodic rock on this single you now have in your hand.

The band has several years of (good!) live experience - even in concert the trio is capable of filling the listener with true rock'n'roll joy.

The members of Randy are:

Jørgen Jensen - guitar/vocals
Brian Andersen - bass/vocals
Torben Pape - drums/vocals"
