CROSSFIRE (mal) - Erosi lp / Pancakera di Cakerawala comp

Post by otakon »

kick ass heavy metal from Malaysia! It has a few ballads though but thats the way it goes for all Malaysian/Singaporean bands back then otherwise they wont get a record contract.

classic heavy metal/hard rock compilation, some killer cuts to be found from bands like Saxo, Laser Ray, Kayangan etc

credit goes to my mate who ripped them both

Kewl. It's always interesting to hear more from this very seclusive scene.

Q: Do you know if the songs on the compilation are taken from existing albums or are they exclusive recordings?

i believe most if not all the songs in the compilation are exclusive recordings, most bands in the compilation died straight after. Saxo got their record deal from this compy, well personally i dig Kayangan the most! :D

Didn't expect this band to sound as professional & slick as they do somehow. V. impressive! Thanks.

Here is JUNCTION's Petualang, without tracklist, sorry! 192 kbps as I forgot to modify it before ripping. If someone requests it, I'll send it in better quality as soon as possible (on sunday, or next sunday!).

I've ripped the BRAINWASH album from my CD-R, but I'll upload it tomorrow, now it's time to sleep! :D

EDIT: Here is the 320 kbps rip:

hard rock/heavy metal was HUGE in Malaysia and Singapore back then. Especially the Malays really lived and breathed the rock lifestyle. Today isnt really the same anymore unfortunately...

say do you have anything from SWEET CHARITY? i really need to hear them!

I am supposed to get the first SWEET CHARITY album on CD in a future trade. I'll try to do a rip when I'll get it.
These CDs seem common to find in Malaysia, but here almost nobody has them for sale, except maybe for Rainer Krukenberg and sometimes someone on eBay.
