US Progressive / Power Metal demos and related stuff

Post by Ebony_Eyes »

Here anyone is free to post his US Power / Progressive Metal Demo stuff from the US during the golden era of mid 80's - mid 90's...there's plenty of hidden stuff out there so let's share it and enojy it!

Also, if you think that you own a demo from a non-US band that's playing Power / Progressive Metal, feel freel to post it here!

I start with the ultra rare En Force Demo tha was released in 1990. The band came from the US and their song "I'll Walk Alone" was featured in the "Molten Metal Monsters" compilation CD that came out from Siegen Records. This is great Queensryche-style Power Metal!
Track listing:

I'll Walk Alone
Pleasure of Pain
I Remember
Time for Change

Listening to "I'll Walk Alone" right now, this is good. I noticed they even named themselves after a Queensryche song!

I totally agree with you, Leviathan was a great band and totally underrated!

Might be a bit happy for some, but I dig it! The second song on the demo is quite stellar "into the night I call her name, but theres no answer" great chorus! This band was worthy of a LP, at least an EP. Its all there, what happened? Just like hundreds of other bands I know, it goes without saying it's ashame. I love this 'ryche/Crimson Glory sounding power metal (Apollo Ra, Hittman, Matakopas etc) Did they do anything else? (MA lists a single, though I guess that discography is incomplete?)

I'm gonna wait with MORAL DECAY for a while and instead give you 2 great demos w/ TERRAHSHPERE. Here be thrash, power, speed and neato' songstructures aplenty, a little bit of everything from the smorgasbord of the late 80's. Apparently they also had a CD out on New Rennaisance in '91. Would love to hear it if someone has it for upload. Or an original for trade?

Wow.. I just put this on for the first time in a while. It's a lot more rough than I remembered it. AGENT STEEL with early ATHEIST breaks? Noisenik and Helm should dig this for sure.
