P.S. Metal Archives added today some italian bands and linked The Italian Steel guide from The Corroseum as a fansite,it's a pity that people who submitted the bands weren't able to copy correctly all the infos...just take a look for Libra and Legec..

Had to spin this one too. One of my favourite records from this country and one of my most beloved records in general. Too bad the full length didn't impress.doomedplanet wrote:Have Unreal Terror "Heavy & Dangerous" on the deck as I type this. What a great slice of 80's Italian steel, HEADBANGER! No one makes metal that sounds like this anymore, argh.

Is the Steve Sylvester "Love Has Torn Me Apart" a 7" single?
Regarding Paul Chain Violet Theatre: "Opera 4th" was pressed on black, blue, and clear vinyl. Also, the cover variations for "In the Darkness" differ more than slightly (e.g., different front) and have different inner sleeves.
Death SS: there are cover/label variations for "The Story of.." LP and CD. The first press of the "Black Mass" LP is a gatefold-the second (rumored to be a bootleg) is not.
-Steve Sylvester Love Has Torn Me Apart a 7" single: exist only in test press version and the only man who have it is Steve Sylvester. The 7" was never on sale.
-Death SS: The Story of.. : exist 3 vinyl versions and 3 cd versions
1st press: paul chain insert, silver label, black package
2nd press: different paul chain insert, black label, black package
3rd press: no insert, black label, white package
1st press cd: black cd
2nd press cd: silver cd
3rd press cd: fuel records middle 90/00 with black cd
-Death SS - Black Mass : exist 4 vinyl versions and 3 cd versions
1st press: gf with wrong name Steve Silester
1st press: Picture Disc
2nd press: gf with name Steve Silvester
3rd press: no gf
In 2008: picture disc reprint of horror records, 666 numbered copies (fans club 50 numbered copies). 15 test press
1st press cd: silver cd
2nd press cd: black cd (1996)
3rd press: fuel records remastered
I hope this infos are good for you

Cheers for reposting for us manic Death SS fans.
Seems I have the 1st "Black Mass" but need to upgrade on "The Story Of...".
Curse this 1st-Pressing Obsession of mine!
(Another difference between the 1st pressing of TSoDSS and later ones is the Minotauro Records logo at the top of the back sleeve. On the first one it's white text + taurus on black background, on the later versions a negative. I think. If I remember correctly.)
Btw, there was a thread about this posted recently, but disappeared in the recent crash:
I there an "original" version of the Evil Metal 7" which doesn't have the wishy-washy crap sound on side B?

-First press with alligned cover (very rare)
-Second press (first '90) with disalligned cover - bootleg (500copies maybe)
All copies have on the label the SIAE logo (Italian Artist and Editors association)
There are a lot of legend about this release, original or bootleg..
If you need some pics of disalligned version or TSoDSS insert/label/etc I can post here.

Sorry, but what do you mean with "alligned"/"disalligned" covers?kraba wrote:I know only two version of Evil Metal 7"

Yeah, I'm familiar with this little stamp - most of my Italian vinyls has it (and often this little funny silver sticker..) - even stuff like OLD YRON and "Evil Metal" etc, but not my copy of TSofDSS for some reason...All copies have on the label the SIAE logo (Italian Artist and Editors association)
I'm still curious if there are original copies of "Evil Metal" without the bad/misspress sound on side B...
I don't know a version with good sound, the first had a great problem with masters and the second press is a record taken from old 7" not from masters...then we've bad sound!!!DaN wrote:kraba wrote: I'm still curious if there are original copies of "Evil Metal" without the bad/misspress sound on side B...
Tonight when I come back home I'll post the pics of the second press cover.

Both are white ink. First press is the old rectangular Minotauro logo. The second is the half circle shape.DaN wrote: (Another difference between the 1st pressing of TSoDSS and later ones is the Minotauro Records logo at the top of the back sleeve. Here it is a little update,i have just found a 7" 45 rpm released by Dragon(look at #48 ),it's a picture disc(the artwork is the same of the lp's cover),nothing unusual(both tracks are on the lp)and the label is the same.
"Down on my knees/City music"

I'm on the trails of some other italian stuff(two 7" totally unknown until now,at least to me
)i'll post asap!
P.S. @Kraba,awesome stuff

It's like when you make photocopies and you don't fix in the center very well, the edges are bent(disalligned),so in the second pressing one of the edge has a thin white line instead of being totally black.
