sale/trade list: Heathens Rage, Stormtrooper, The Beast

Post by akis512 »

Hi guys,

This is my first message, after a long period of inactivity, due to lots of personal, family, work issues. My name is Akis and I am an old collector/trader from Greece. I lived in Greece during the glorious 80s, when I bought most of the import releases at high prices and then in the 90s i moved to NYC where i was lucky to buy lots of really rare vinyls at "bargain bin" prices. Now, as I got older, and a little wiser, I have decided it's time to share some of these gems with the younger generation, as I have really enjoyed them alot during all these years and I just dont have that time anymore :-(

I use the same user name, akis512, in all music related websites and forums (or fora) to make it easier for people to remember me and identify me so please fellow members at Corroseum, who have dealt with me before, be so kind and write something about me. It will help other members feel comfortable buying my vinyls and CDs.

Here's some of my personal info:
email: akis512@yahoo.com
myspace: http://www.myspace.com/akis512

Favorite bands: Blessed Death, Nasty Savage, Holy Terror, Venom, Watchtower, Grinder, Kinetic Dissent, Sanctus.

Here’s my latest vinyl / CD sale list. All items are from my original personal collection and most of them are in mint condition. They are for sale only, unless you have a KIT 2001 ticket that we can combine in trade.

I don't have anything good to say about this guy.

I purchased 6 CD's from him and specifically asked about the condition of each CD prior to having finalized the deal. He told me that they were all in great shape with nothing to worry about other then a few MINOR scratches. This was fine with me because I realize that this isn’t uncommon among 20+ year old discs. The deal took place and I received the CD's to find that two of them were severally scratched on the playing surface. I contacted him regarding the issue to which I was told if I sent them back I would receive a refund. I contacted him again to ask for an address and I was ignored. Finally after several more emails he responded saying that he won’t refund me but instead he will replace the CD's with others from a list. I agreed, we agreed on a value for the two CD’s and I chose the discs that I wanted instead. After this I never heard back form the guy for several days. Finally after sending several more pestering emails I get a reply saying that he no longer agrees to this deal and lists 5-6 terms that I now have to follow in order to get replacement CD’s. I explain to him that that all I want to do is finish the deal and that all of these new terms are bullshit granted that we had already came to a conclusion to solve the problem. After several more emails, to which all got delayed responses, I am given a ton of excuses as to why he can’t fix the problem.

-My motorbike got stolen
-I lost my job
-I was at KIT
-I started a new job
-The economy in greece is bad

Finally after exchanging so many emails and waiting several days (some times weeks) to get a reply only to find a new excuse, I gave up and just kept the CD’s because I can’t trust this scumbag to actually follow through on his end of the deal to fix the problem if I mail the CD’s back to him.

I recommend that anyone concerned about the condition of what you receive avoid this guy, as he doesn’t give a shit about you once he receives his money and ships the package.

I have contacted him too some moons ago & I've got no response. What's the relationship of Greece's economy with a deal like that? I can't get it.

I don't either. None of his excuses were relevant.
