As we might have mentioned earlier, there are some interesting changes coming to the site. Once the renewal is in place (March 5th), our site has been promised to be ported over to unlimited bandwidth and disk space... Previously we were on a 25 gigs of disk space and 300 gigs of bandwidth a month plan, but now all that's changed... The classic albums section is going to be getting an overhaul, though the files will STILL be in RealAudio but the sound quality will improve significantly. We were going to do the soundfiles and classic albums both in RealAudio 5.0, but we've decided that the bitrates will probably go even higher... Many of you will hear a great difference from ANY RealAudio soundfiles currently on the site... (both in the classic albums section AND in the soundfiles area).
We're also looking for someone with better html coding experience than myself to help re-design the site so that it looks better at higher and lower resolutions... Currently, the site looks just fine at a resolution of 800x600, though I know many users set their screen resolutions much higher... And, I'd like to have the site look a lot more professional.. The magazine issues probably won't change much, though I have tooled around with the idea of having linkable sections of each issue, with a table of contents at the top so you can easily jump to whatever interview or review you wish to see... Older issues may see the same benefit, and actually may be redone so that reviews and interviews are in alphabetical order. Of course, like with the classic albums section, I'm a stickler for the original pressings, so I kinda feel uneasy about redoing what the original issues looked like..
Regardless of all this, I want to thank everyone Again, and AGAIN even...
