I don't want to buy something which might be official but look and sound like bootlegs. The later Sonic Age releases and some Steel Legacy stuff simply isn't better than any bootleg. So I would be interested in what I spend my money in.

Any information would be highly appreciated.

I agree totally. Some sound samples could help

I have to agree regarding the quality of the last few Sonic Age releases. It seems that the label has dropped they're standards with each release as they have gone along.

Regarding the sound clips for those of you that have never heard these bands, all of them can be found on youtube. Do a few searches...

Strider and possibly Pagan may not be up to many of the hardcore bangers standards around here though, as they are quite commercial at times. Beware with those two.

I meant samples of actual releases. After the last couple Sonic Age rec. disappointments, I don't want to give the money for bootleg sound anymore
Especially for the first Fact and Dealer, cause original sound is awful

I got the Randy CD today. Decent quality, great material of course. Sound is fine, packaging includes only the 7" song lyrics, nothing else.

The only surprise is that the demo songs are a bit slower (and therefore longer) than the recording I already had -- not sure which is correct but since this was done with the band's blessing, I'm assuming these are. Furthermore, the live and demo versions of "Victim of the Night" included here are at the same pitch.

Understood but that comment was directed towards great_knuthulhu and MEX who had stated that they are unfamiliar with these bands,

And thank you for that. I've had a listen now and they're definitely not for me. I like lots of HR stuff, but Strider were very pedestrian and Pagan not much better.
I know I ain't doing much,
doing nothing means a lot to me.

My favourite thing about the Randy reissue is the absolutely laughable piece of paper glued to the back of the jewelcase to signify 'limited edition' number xxx/500. Why not put it on the inlay- or even better leave it off altogether?

Because the band kicks the shit out of 80% of the modern crap you like to hype.

Not that this speaks for the releases themselves as I have personally not seen them yet but I'm pretty sure that it's not hard to hop on youtube and check the actual music for yourself.

I'm sorry, in case it wasn't obvious by the question mark, I was asking a serious question about a band I'm not familiar with. But I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to continue to show your specific dislike of me and by doing so continuing to look like an ass.
