Mantas (USA) "Death By Metal" demo 1984
Mantas (USA) "Death By Metal" demo 1984
So, as promised... here is the death metal holy grail... Mantas "Death By Metal" demo from 1984. I hope this upload will not cause any problems (as Relapse is planning some sort of Mantas/Death compilation album in future).
This particular recoding is quite rare... on all EP/LP/CD bootlegs there is always Death "Death by Metal" demo. Here we have the first original recording of "Death By Metal". Not for the weak hearted! Needless to say old Mantas/Death ruled/still rules!
Tracklist:
Legion Of Doom
Evil Dead
Mantas
Death By Metal
Power of Darkness
N-JOY

Thanks for the upload, I downloaded it to check the sound quality because I was listening to it the other day and the sound of my mp3 files was shit. This rip sounds a bit better, but I still cannot focus on the music and enjoy it.
Anyway, none of the Death/Mantas demos I've heard can top Scream Bloody Gore and this one is no exception to that.

Yeah ok...let's not start talking as if Scream bloody gore lacks in brutality and ferocity or as if it was some kind of sell-out for Death...For example 'Evil Dead' and 'Mutilation' versions on the album desecrates any demo version I've heard, now if for some people it HAS to sound shit and if it has to be demo/reh stuff only to be good then the discussion ends here for me.

Great news!deathster wrote:(as Relapse is planning some sort of Mantas/Death compilation album in future).

I only hope it won`t be any king of 'the best of' with a few selected tracks only
