I didn't see a lot of metal gigs these first 6 months but one that I will never forget is Witchcraft in Tilburg (Netherlands). They played in a very small bar. The 'stage' was only 15 cm high, ideal for passing the energy onto the crowd. The place was packed. I was on the first row. My friends were shocked because normally I never move at shows, I only tap one of my two feet But now I was screaming along and headbanging and shaking my fists
Best gigs I've seen so far this year : ADX (La Locomotive, Paris), EXTREME NOISE TERROR, NAPALM (No Mercy Fest, Hof Ter Lo) and TROUBLE (Nouveau Casino, Paris).

Yeah I've seen them a couple of times in places like that and they're perfect for that sort of venue. Grrreat live band for sure
My fave shows so far would be CELTIC FROST in Sthlm, SABBAT at KIT and HELVETETS PORT in Uppsala, but it's very likely that PAGAN ALTAR in London in October will top them all.
Axewitch in Linköping and of course all gigs with Helvetets Port and Portrait I've seen. And not to forget: In Solitude was such a big surprise! Great gig!
For me CANDLEMASS anniversary show is the finest hour so far this year. They did everything I wanted too, and both an Epicus set w/ Languist and a Chapter VI set w/Vikström can't be topped.
Other than that, Heaven and Hell/Black Sabbath were amazing at Sweden Rock Festival, as were Portrait.
Celtic Frost in Stockholm was a bloody fine show too, but I was stone dead sober and it was a little too much of a "Sweden Rock Festival 2006 appearance, miniature version". I guess any Celtic Frost show I'll ever see will always be compared to SRF '06, the greatest concert experience of my life this far.

D'oh! Of course. Killer evening. Even "Bullfest" was a blast.
For me, Doom or be Doomed festival was a lifetime highlight! How can you go wrong seeing the like sof Iron Man, Blood Farmers, Asylum, Unorthodox, Revelation, Penance, Wretched, etc. all on the same stage! I hope they carry on next year!
