unless we want to try to distinguish a first pressing maybe?
The only reason I have all these versions is I picked them up cheap over the years and I consider it a classic too, an all time favorite record.

Color photo back cover: dead wax codes: 'Dark angel has arrived better late than never” on one side Msr-8501 s-13260 kdisc on the other side. Says manufactured by Erika on the back too.

Single B&W photo version, “distributed by Important” version dead wax codes 'Dark angel has arrived better late than never” on one side Msr-8501 s-13260 kdisc on the other side. Silver labels.

The printing quality of the front cover on the above 2 versions is very similar. Also both of these have “Metalstorm Records” on the back. Silver labels.

The third version has a darker printed front cover. Back cover is darker too and has “Azra Records” address at the bottom, nothing about “Metalstorm Records” or “distributed by Important”
matrix codes are the same as above. Silver and white label.

If I had to make a guess I would say the first pressing is the Color photo back cover version, primarily since it is possible that it sold so well they got a distribution deal with Important and when they repressed they added that bit of info? Just a guess.

Why isn't Maze Records included with Cobra? Both were branches of A&M Canada, and it looks like they just started using the Maze name instead of Cobra at some point, but the catalog numbers respected the sequence.

last Cobra is CL1039
first Maze is MML1040
and so on.

there are also some Maze that have totally different numbers, like ML8001, but not all of it is metal in these serial numbers. So maybe a Maze section on its own then?

I could supply the titles I know from Maze. Maybe Avenger has a more complete list.
I wasn't aware of the Cobra/Maze-connection but I'll look into it. If Maze it "Metal enough" I would at least add it as a footnote to the Cobra-page.

The early 80's Canadian branch of Mausoleum and those pressings is another thing on my to-do list for the site. Don't suppose you have a finished list of those?
Ok, sorry it took so long to reply! I was waiting for an album in the mail to include in the list!
Cobra was Maze's metal section (distributed by A&M), until they dropped it and continued under the Maze name alone.
Here's what I know exists in vinyl. After that, I do have some serial numbers that follow, but I'm not sure if they were cd only releases, or Maze Canada only distributed. Some come under the Mazekraze banner....so I'll leave them out for now!

Maze (metal stuff)

MML1040 Exciter, Exciter, 1988
MML1041 Sabbat, History of a Time to Come, 1988
MML1042 Voivod, Dimension Hatröss, Noise, 1988

MML1044 Vendetta, Go and Live…Stay and Die, Noise, 1988

MML1047 Savage Steel, Do or Die, 1988
MML1048 Kreator, Out of the Dark Into the Light, Noise, 1988
MML1049 Vendetta, Brain Damage, Noise, 1988

Maze (mostly non-metal serie)

ML8001 Saga, Saga, 1978
ML8002 Saga, Images at Twilight, 1979
ML8003 Saga, Silent Knight, 1987
ML8004 Saga, Worlds Apart, 1981

ML8016 Dave Mason, Sonic Assembly Required, 1981

Mausoleum Canada were distributed by Attic records, which was a metal/hard rock/rock label. They also had the Viper subsidiary.
I only know of a few releases.

Really the WSK 134 is the album Hallows Eve - Tales of Terror.

There was much controversy about that here in Brazil. Now just missing the WSK 156.

re;Neat Records catalog.

NEAT54 was to be Atomkraft's "Your Mentor" but was shelved in favour of Atomkraft's "Queen Of Death" EP.

Taken from The Neat Singles Collection Volume Three CD booklet...

Is "Ignorance" by Sacred Reich released on Metal Blade Records, and if so, what's the record number? It is released on Roadrunner (RR 9578 on LP, and RR 9578 2 on CD), and as far as I understand, it's licensed from Metal Blade.

Wrong thread.

And it's not hard to find this information on such a common album.

One question for Avanzada Metallica label:
The list goes up to AM 022 and year 1991. And yet there was Impact - Take the Pain CD released with catalouge number AMCD. 101 - Morbid Saint CD was released in the same year as AMCD KCT.023

Anyone with more information about it? Another 78 releases in between don't seem probable to me ...

:?:

Edit: some more releases, information from Musik-Sammler:
AMCD 034 DARK HALF - Reborn 1992
AMCD 035 PACTUM - Ficcion, Lujuria Y Blasfemia 1992
AMCD 050 MALICIOUS PROPHECIES - Reducido a Cenizas 1992
AMCD 102 CYCLONE - Inferior to None 1992
AMCD 103 MORTUARY - Blackened Images 1991 (I guess that it's '92 and year '91 was copied from M-A)
AMCD 106 EXCRUCIATING PAIN - Thou Shall Choose 1992
AMCD 117 TRANSMETAL - En Concierto Vol. 2 1992
AMCD 118 BLACKTHORN - The Rotten Ways of Human Misery 1992

KCT 22 V/A - At the Foot of Brutality 1990
KCT 24 TRANSMETAL - Zona Muerta 1991

I'm not sure about the out of order CAT Number sequence...

Regarding Avanzada Metalica CD releases, Dan and I discussed this already in the past and unless the CAT Numbers are the same as the original vinyl release he is not interested in updating the database.

INDESTROY: unreleased "NRR-54" EP info and photos.

Post by outlawrecordings »

Moved to the correct place. /Mod

So I was looking at the NRR discography on here a while back, and saw that NRR-54 was "unknown" and then I happened to look at my Indestroy test pressing I've had for years and it seems like I found what that catalog number was for!

I guess maybe it was supposed to be on NRR but then they signed to Restless so it was officially issued under that label. But I have had this test pressing (which is on NRR, you can see the matrix) for years, I got it back in Virginia where I grew up (near where Indestroy was from) so it would make sense it was there.

I emailed the Corroseum a while back about this, but it hasn't been updated on the New Renaissance page, so figured I'd post it here too.
