I remember I sort of enjoyed the CT debut at the time, but when I gave it a quick listen for the first time in years some months ago I was severely disappointed. Unlike ZNÖWHITE this has aged very poorly.

Yep, I like all Znöwhite-stuff, but Cyclone Temple never impressed me. Couldn't stand that singer.

I really like the Cyclone Temple debut. I like the singer better on that album a lot more than Nicole Lee.

Dead Youth, anyone? I liked them back in my Death Metal days...
Eternal Hatred is another good one. Too bad they disbanded after releasing the EP. At that time the member told me they wanted to release the 2 demos on CD but it didn't happen.

I'm surprise no one has mentioned Iron Cross yet? :)

First CT album is real goopd..there's fillers on it, groove bullshit but also a bunch of KILLER riffs and awesome vocals.

Great to see that AreaDeathProd are re-releasing the AFTERMATH demos! "Killing The Future" is on my top-10 of US demos fo' sho'... Really looking forward to this one.

Still hoping some old Chicago-scenester would pick up on this idea...

Yes, as a fan of old Death Metal, a site about the Chicago scene would be very interesting since there's quite a few classic bands that came from there. For my personal taste, it's certainly the best US scene (or at least it was in the late 80s/early 90s)

ORPHAN ALLIES, an excelent female fronted metal band from Chicago. Only one release "Running From The Law" in 1986. You can listen to it here:
