December 7th marks the release of the NightBitch MLP "Sex and Magic". The first vinyl offering from Connecticut's occult obsessed, NWOBHM worshipping, HR/HM band featuring vocalist Phil Swanson (Hour of 13, Seamount, Vestal Claret, Briton Rites). Not to be missed by fans of traditional Heavy Metal, their debut record is a return to the days when Maiden and Priest reigned and metal itself was a young beast. Long-time musicians Ryan Adams (guitar), Chris Taylor (drums) and Mark Eles (bass) have crafted 5 songs which will be held as an instant classic in the genre. Dedicated to heavyweight 180 gram vinyl and limited to 333 copies, knife and virgin not included.
I had heard the track 'Nightbitch' before, when the tape was released; I didn't and still don't like it, I've just heard too many bands do the same thing, structually and lyrically and it really added absolutely nothing new nor retained the same energy as older acts. This new track I like much more though, I've listened to it many times and it continously grows on me, so I'm thinking I'll take a chance on this record and order one, otherwise it wouldn't be a big deal but my financial situation has been total shit lately. How much is your shipping to Europe though? I love the fast part with solos. Still sounds much more like US Metal than any UK contenders as advertised, yes the later Priest in the opening riff but it quickly diverges from that.
Are you the tyrant, who cast them to the sea?
One day you'll be among the dead.
Didn't mean to make it sound like they are Priest worship, they just have that early 80's metal vibe, it's actually hard to compare them to any band specifically so I was referencing an era more than anything.
Shipping to Europe is out of hand these days, it costs 12 bucks to mail one over there. But I'm mailing some wholesale packs off to Germany (iron bonehead), Norway (unborn prod.), Greece, Hungary (Psychedoomelic), and a few more places by the end of the week, maybe you can pick up a copy from one of them.
