How do you store your collection?
The bigger one I custom built in six separate sections which were later attached on-site in order to fit them in the room. The smaller one was store-bought at Target if I remember correctly. Both are pretty much maxed out so I'm going to have to build some more soon. My 7"s are in 7" boxes from Bags Unlimited. Too much of a pain in the ass to pull out all of them for the photo, maybe next time.

Pretty cool. It fits 60 tapes.
My Mother, she told me off today and so I killed her.
But not really, she is still alive inside my head .

Thanks for the tip George. Ordered quite a high pile of plastic outer sleeves for LPs, 10-inches, singles and CDs right away (been a while since). From what I have gathered they are much cheaper than in here in Sweden. Also the postage, 17.85 EUR for shipping up to 27 kg, is probably lower than it would had been if sent internally in Sweden. (hope I haven't missed out on some info as my German is a bit rusty...)George wrote:Yes they ship to Sweden. You can check this link:

I normally use the PVC outer sleeves from Svalander. If you've used Svalander before, please write down a quick comparison between the Svalander sleeves and the ones from the store above! Since these are almost half the price, I might just switch my provider.GJ wrote:Thanks for the tip George. I checked Svalander first too. I ordered PE (Polyethylene) sleeves (the thicker ones) so we won't be able to compare, sorry.
About my order from protected.de.
I first recieved a reciet stating my order as excactly as I had sent it:
Anzahl - Artikel - Einzelpreis - Gesamtpreis
________________________________________
700 - LP Schutzhüllen aus PE (1000) - 0,105 EUR - 73,50 EUR
300 - Single Schutzhüllen aus PE (2000) - 0,045 EUR - 13,50 EUR
50 - 10inch Cover Schutzhüllen aus PE Folie (4001) - 0,081 EUR - 4,05 EUR
100 - CD Schutzhüllen für ein Pappcover (3014) - 0,025 EUR - 2,50 EUR
200 - CD Schutzhüllen Leerkassette (3010) - 0,029 EUR - 5,80 EUR
50 - LP Innenhüllen Deluxe (1003) 0,149 EUR - 7,45 EUR
________________________________________
Versandkosten (Vorkasse, Paketversand) 17.85 EUR
________________________________________
Enthaltene MwSt 19.90 EUR
Summe gesamt 124.65 EUR
But then I got a confirmation of order where they had changed the number of LP innersleeves and the 10 inch plastic sleeves to a hundred each (I guess they don't want to split packages, but then you shouldn't be able to change the number in your Shopping Basket!). This made the weight slightly above 27 kilos (28,75). Plus I was also told the order had to be sent in two packages This made the postage cost 65 EUR instead of 17.85! I have e-mailed them back about the issue and hope to be able to change the order. If not I believe they'll still be much cheaper than Svalander...

Storage
I also use Ikea's "Expedit" for vinyl records. I've got the 2x4 box model which works so far, if I get a job I would need a new one very soon though. For CD's I use Ikea's "Benno", you have to have a lot of them if you got many CD's though.
Does anyone have a good tip on some nice looking box or similar to store 7" singles in? I haven't found anything I like and now the records just stand with the 12" in the Expedit shelf...

I summoned up the living dead, and demons in the skies.
I drank from chalice warm and red, and watched the virgin die.

scour your local libraries for card catalogs they don't use anymore. cassettes fit perfectly and the drawer system is perfect access and readability of the spinesOllieAssault wrote:Speaking of storing, do you guys have any tips on how to store cassette tapes in a proper way?
