I already have one ROMMEL-demo but I'm not sure if it's the first or second. The rest would be great to hear anyway. Besides that I'm open for recommendations.
I head the BOW WOW debut for the first time quite recently at a friend's place. Suprisingly raw & catchy stuff, not nearly as pubrockish as I'd expected. It seems like the albums are available on CD as Japan imports. Not that it would seem to be a big deal to upload age-old major label stuff like this, but I'd rather try to be consistant with my own rules here.FenderMedium wrote:Is it alright if I put the first two bow wow albums here? The are from 76 and 77 but they are ahead of their time some what they are a mixture of hard rock and heavy metal I suppose, I don't want to post them if its gonna be a problem.
I'm rather sorry about this. but i cannot release these demotapes. and i just have to ask people to not relelase them if possible.omen of hate wrote:It would be great to hear the 2 others ROMMEL demos.
That's a tricky situation. I'm sure there's a lot of old obscure demo stuff shared in places like this where the original artists wouldn't want anyone to hear. Some for copyright reasons but perhaps even more often because they think their old teenage sins stink to high heaven. Trying to convince these people that you actually think their old recordings kick ass despite the rough edges and that you're not just taking the piss can be quite difficult. Tom Warrior's opinion on HELLHAMMER is a good example.sabbat666 wrote:The vocalist/guitarist of Rommel is my oldest friend in Japan (about 8 years now) and i made a promise to him not to spread his stuff around. he really just wants people to forget about his old bands and feels ashamed of them. so he asked me to try to help him stop these kinds of trade outside of Japan, as he cannot speak English at all.
I know i cant force any of you guys to do anything but we are just asking a favor.
Far too many new members invading just for the mp3's for that to work out I assume.Hellride Mike wrote:Is it much worse to have all 3 if one is already around? I'm considering putting them up here so as not to be a tease, and then I'm perefectly willing to to cease any transmission of them. Perhaps we could agree that they stay among the members here?
I'm curious to hear some opinions...
My post was more in response to a bulletin once at metal archives, it seems at one time alot of people were asking them to delete their old bands they were ashamed of.Noisenik wrote:To paraphrase Mr. Medium: if you don't want to be heard do not record music, or do that in total isolation, if that's possible. To share via pms is not bad idea though ...
