Review

STRESS was a band from San Diego (California). I remember when I heard this album for the first time. It was in 1984 (when the Metal bands were productive !) and it was a long time that I'm searching it as CD (26 euros !). Now with this CD-reissue (Deep Shag 2001), I'm satisfied and I can hear this album with a great pleasure like never before ! This reissue consisting in the 8 tracks from "Killing me night and day" album, 2 tracks from the 12" release, 2 tracks-outtakes from the "Killing me night and day" sessions, and 3 tracks from the previously unreleased 1986 studio recordings (featuring Jimmy Crespo from Aerosmith). Believe me or not, this tracks kill ! STRESS practice Hard Rock (FM ???) but in the good way, with the power songs like "Burning in your fire" (I love this one), "Don't need no education" (sure !), the other songs are more melodic but the feeling's saved : "Killing me night and day" (in my head for a long time !), "It's too bad", "Save me" (for your future girlfriend, she'll fall quickly in your arms !). The bonus tracks that I have mentioned are more for the history of the band, less interesting than the others but pleasant to hear. So, if you want to discover this forgotten band, you can buy this stuff ! Have a great time !
