Mein lieber Schwan, die Stiefmutti hatte wirklich ein gutes Gespür für meist melodischen US Metal ("Every nights a weekend " = geil!) mit einem obendrein noch wundervollen Sänger, der sich nahtlos in das ganze, hauptsächlich stampfend vorgetragene Material einfügt bzw seine Stimme einbringt und somit eine zu Unrecht weit ins Abseits ge(d)rückte klassische US Truppe regelrecht anpeitscht auch wenn es niemand groß bemerkt zu haben schien. Mit "Mr. Dude" gibt's sogar speedigen Power Metal, sozusagen als "Nachschlag" des verhassten Stiefmütterleins die hier so ordentlich hinlangt, dass die Backe glüht! Ansonsten herrscht auf der Scheibe ein wie schon erwähnt klassischer US Metal mit wirklich hörenswerten Songs und Vocals. Da das Ding immer nur höchstens 10 E kostet, ist es wohl oder übel Pflichtstoff für US Metaller auch wenn man mit dem Cover hätte etwas mehr Kreativität an den Tag legen können.

I don't know why this MLP is such an unwanted piece but maybe most collectors never heard their music? Mistake? For sure! These guys had alot more potential and class than 60% of the bands on the private sector, playing a kind of melodic but still powerful pounding US Metal with pretty enjoyable refrains which was mainly caused by the great vocal job that Mark Wildi did. On "Mr. Dude" the Stepmothers even present us a pure speedy Power Metal smasher, which in general makes me wonder why they didn't get more attention by other labels. So why everyone is hesitating when I see this one each time going for just about 9,99 $??? Forget the expensive private crap and only trust in the Stepmommy! Trust in real Metal!
