Megattack: Save the nations

Hätte jemand gedacht, nochmal was von MEGATTACK zu hören? Ich nicht. Die US-Metaller mit dem super Sänger sind wieder aktiv und legen mit "Save the nations" eine wirklich interessante Scheibe vor. Das Debut "Raw delivery" wurde nicht zu unrecht als Mischung aus MALICE und RATT dargestellt. Nach wie vor puren 80s Sound hat sich die Band auf die Fahnen geschrieben und noch immer sind auch die leichten RAINBOW-Einflüsse zu hören. Einen Song wie "Save the nations" muß man erstmal schreiben, aber auch "Watching you" oder "Where do we go now" überzeugen völlig. Über allem thronen die fetten Vocals. Also wer schon mit dem Debut was anfangen konnte, darf unbesorgt auch zu "Save the nations" greifen. Wie bei erstaunlich vielen Alben, die Bands selbst produziert haben, stehen die eher schwächeren Songs (meiner Ansicht nach die, die sich nach RATT anhören) am Anfang, aber ab Song 3 gehts richtig los!

Very fine comeback in the old style. Its really good that the band did not try to "invent" completely new sounds, but follows their musical direction of the 80s. That means a mixture between RATT, maybe MALICE and a small piece of RAINBOW. The vocalist with his mighty voice of course is trampling down all critics. Songs like "Save the nations" will convince the listener very fast. A bit strange that the probably weakest songs (the ones which sound most like RATT) were put at the beginning of the CD, but it goes stronger with the later songs while "Earthshaker" again is typical US-commercial and will not fit perfect to the european tastes. But there are some real promising songs for the "world" also!A pity that it took so long for another album. All who bought allready the Debut should checkout "Save the nations" also!
