Enchanter: Defenders of the realm

Die 80er Demos der US-Metal-Band ENCHANTER bieten das, was der US-Metal-Fan erwartet. Hohen Gesang, manchmal leicht epische Melodiestrukturen und ein kultiges Coverartwork im Stil von STORMTROOPERs - armies of the night. Mit der anderen Band ENCHANTER sind zumindest die Musiker nicht identisch, d.h. es ist eine komplett andere Band, was auch musikalisch hinkommt.

Wie die genannte Band, die es ja auch zu 80er-Zeiten trotz sehr guten Materials nicht geschafft hat, wären die Songs von ENCHANTER ohne Zweifel auf einer LP gut untergebracht gewesen. Brian Osbourne erreicht in seinen besten Momenten gar die Qualität von Jon Oliva von SAVATAGE mit musikalischen Anleihen von CRIMSON GLORY.

Das sind natürlich jetzt keine Bands mit denen eine Band nicht gerne verglichen werden würde und so denke ich, daß "Defenders of the realm" einige Fans erfreuen wird, auch wenn natürlich soundmäßig Abstriche in Kauf genommen werden müssen, aber das ist wohl klar, da es sich schließlich um Demoaufnahmen handelt.

Fine 80s US-Metal! A pity that this talented band needed to wait until 2008 to have some stuff released.

US-Metal-Fans will like the high vocals and the songstructers with some epic touch, sometimes reminding on CRIMSON GLORY or SAVATAGE.

The sound is of course not state of the art, but you must remind that you listen to Demo-tracks. The mystique Coverartwork fits well to this new found pearl of 80s Metal.
