Axe: Living on the edge

Review

Was ich schon ausführlich in der Krtik zum ersten Album von AXE gesagt habe, sei hier nur noch dadurch ergänzt, daß es selten vorzufinden ist, daß eine Band vier potentielle Hits an den Anfang eines Albums stellt.

Der melodiöse aber immer mit harten Gitarren unterlegte, manchmal sehr europäische Sound der Amerikaner (!) lebt nicht nur vom hervorragenden Gesang oder den eingängigen Refrains. Nein, hier stimmt wirklich alles! Aber wie gesagt, wer hat schon vier Hits am Anfang eines Albums? AXE haben das: "Living on the edge", "Fantasy of love", "First time, last time" und "Carry on" bilden den Auftakt. Der Rest ist dann auch mehr als nur anhörbar.

Es sei bemerkt, daß alle Alben dieser Ausnahme-Truppe herausragend sind. Wer die harte Variante von CITY BOY (empfehlenswerte Rock Band) sucht, wir hier bedient. Klassiker!

After the impressive Debut the follow-up was as good. Melodic but powerful Hard Rock with hints of DEMON or the later PRAYING MANTIS with a touch of CITY BOY. Allways with outstanding good vocals. Great stuff for every Rock, Hard Rock or Metal-fan.
