Aspire: The defiance of fortune

ASPIRE sind mittlerweile mit ihrem vierten Album am Start. Die neoklassischen Einflüsse sind diesmal etwas dezenter als auf den Vorgängern, was der Band zum Vorteil gerreicht.

Nach wie vor scheiden werden sich die Geister am Gesang von Al. An dem ist zwar objektiv nicht allzuviel auszusetzen, aber trotzdem wirkt einiges noch etwas angestrengt, auch wenn hier deutliche Verbesserungen zu den Vorgängeralben erkennbar sind.

Songmäßig hat sich die Band auch weiter gesteigert und findet langsam zu ihrem eigenen Stil in der Bandbreite des melodischen Heavy Metal. US-Metal-Einflüsse sind kaum auszumachen. Nach wie vor orientiert sich die Band an italienischen und spanischen Sounds, sowie diversen Skandinaviern. Hier ist die Grenze zu unmäßig süßlichem Bombast fliessend und jeder Muß selbst entscheiden, ob sie für ihn schon überschritten ist.

APSIRE in the meanwhile made their third album. The neoclassical influences this time are a bit more decent than on the material they wrote before.

Songs like "Bloodline" are probably the strongest stuff the band ever made but still the vocals of Al are influenced very much from typical spanish or italian melodic Metal-bands and the "stratovarius"-like Scandinavians. This means that the album will be compared with all these groups coming from there and ASPIRE is inbetween the competition.

If you like these typical sounds as written above you cannot go wrong in buying "The defiance of future". If you are more into a harder edged sound or focused on English or German 80s sytle or typical US-Metal you should check out a few songs of ASPIRE before buying.
