Alias: Same

Review

The debut album by Alias is a very fine US-Metal album with a quite strange fantasy artwork. Simple, powerful but not too hard songs, plausible refrains and a strong singer - all it takes for a classic! OK, there is no really outstanding song on it, but otherwise, also no blackout. Worth having it!

Das Debüt von Alias ist eine starke US Metal Scheibe! Einfache, powergeladene aber nicht besonders harte Songs, eingängige Refrains, ein wirklich guter Sänger - fertig ist ein echtes Schmankerl! An "Alias" gibt es nichts auszusetzen, außer vielleicht, dass ein echtes Highlight fehlt. Dafür kann man die Scheibe aber am Stück hören, ohne einmal enttäuscht zu werden. Die Produktion ist nicht berauschend, aber ok, das Cover mäßig, der Verbreitungsgrad minimal. Der Nachfolger, "Metal to Infinity" ist deutlich härter geworden und taucht ab und an auf. Hierauf sind dann auch wirklich Highlights zu finden, z.B. "Alpha / Omega"!
