die beiden Hard Rock-Klassiker aus den Achtzigern, dürften wohl fast jedem Leser dieser Kritik bekannt sein. Wer die beiden Alben noch nicht hat, KAUFEN!! Zurück zu "Vox in excelsis". Lange hat man warten dürfen auf dieses Werk und "Meet me at midnight" ist nach einem sehr schönen Intro ein Song als ob die Zeit stehengeblieben wäre. Man mag es kaum fassen, in diesem Stil geht es weiter. Songs wie "Mary" schaffen die meisten Bands nicht ein einziges Mal während ihrer Schaffenszeit. Die überragende Stimme von Steve Bettney ist natürlich ein Hauptgarant für den mehr als positiven Eindruck, aber auch das Songwriting ist nach wie vor sehr gut. Muß ich noch hinzufügen, dass diese CD einen Pflichtkauf darstellt? Wohlgemerkt: SARACEN spielen nach wie vor Hard Rock im Härtegrad MAGNUM, aber eben auch nach wie vor mit unvergleichlichen Melodien in ihren Songs. Das ist DAS HIGHLIGHT im melodischen Metal/Hard Rock des Jahres 2006!!!

great melodic Metal/Hard Rock. Incredible voice, fantastic songs! What else shall I say? Here we have the album of the year! The first two LPs were a must for every collection. This one wants the place beside them and you will have no other chance than to put it (after hearing it some hundred times)!! I am sure many people hoped for a quite good album but expected something average as they are used to that from many "old bands". What you will get is a masterpiece!! Incredible that SARACEN did again such an outstanding job!!! "Vox in excelso" is an absolute must-have for every fan of timeless good music!
