Disarm Goliath: Only the devil can stop us

Mit NWoBHM hat diese 2001 aufgenommene LP nicht mehr wirklich was zu tun. Eher ist es Power Metal mit US-amerikanischem Einschlag. "Armed to the teeth" ist typischer US-Power mit rauhem Sänger. Daneben gibts aber recht eingängige Chöre und irgendwie fühle ich mich ganz leicht an MOURNBLADE erinnert, wenn die noch jemand kennt. Das ist alles kompetent gespielt und irgendwie bin ich doch leicht enttäuscht, da ich eine NWoBHM-Platte erwartet hatte. Dafür können natürlich die Musiker nichts. Das Coverartwork ist meines Erachtens nicht besonders gelungen, weil man Thrash erwartet oder Nu Metal, was DISARM GOLIATH zum Glück nicht liefern.

Power Metal not really in the NWoBHM-tradition. More or less like US-Bands with an european edge on some songs which seem to be a bit older! Interesting stuff, while the cover is not outstanding.
