Review
Hailing from southern Bavaria the PAD OF PAIN were a slightly softer Melodic Metal act too with Hard Rock edge, like a lot of the later 80's German bands who put out records. "Under screen" doesn't often surfaces, probably in Bavaria you'll have better luck, but the quite average stuff featured on the vinyl doesn't really justifies to pay a fortune. But the same time it has to be added that their vocalist wasn't a typical German singer and songs like "Touch me" are glittering jewels. Unfortunately that kind of songs are rarely found on "Under screen" but in places they do come up with some nice ideas indeed and the guitarist seems to know what to do with his axe. Still imo mostly a bit too poppy seen as a whole, mainly caused by the AOR-ish keyboards. Unfortunately you won't have much time to think about a purchase or not because if you miss out an offered copy it will take some time to find another copy.
