Obwohl ich eine Aversion gegen Holländische Kraftfahrer im tirolerischen Winter-Straßenverkehr habe (stets mit Schneeketten und im Schneckentempo unterwegs unsere "Käskopp" Freunde - auch bei bester Witterung!!!), haben sie diesmal die Nase vorne und beweisen mit der aktuellen Split 12" von AFTER ALL und DOUBLE DIAMOND, das der Metal Underground in Belgien zum Angriff auf die übermächtige Italienische/Schwedische True Metal Welle bläst. Eigentlich erübrigt sich bei dieser Vinyl Scheibe jeglicher Kommentar, da beide Bands zu 100% voll überzeugen! Selten zuvor rotierte ein Album im steten Dauerfeuer am Plattenteller wie diese! AFTER ALL (vergleichbar mit METALLICA anno Anfang der Neunziger, übertrumpfen die mittlerweile ausgewimpten Trendsocken mit Leichtigkeit) und DOUBLE DIAMOND (die erkennbare Ansätze von HAMMERFALL erkennen lassen, jedoch die Schweden-Combo locker in den nächsten Burggraben bugsieren) beweisen mit jeweils zwei Songs, dass sie in nächster Zukunft mit Garantie ein gehöriges Wörtchen im Metalbereich mitzureden haben! Beide Bands brennen ein Feuerwerk an gestählten Riffs und donnernden Drums ab, das einem Hören und Sagen vergeht. Im direkten Vergleich haben DOUBLE DIAMOND definitiv die besseren Karten und lassen speziell mit der kommenden Metal-Schlacht-Hymne "Metal Rules" jedes Metaller Herz höher schlagen. Als Draufgabe gibt es diese Göttergabe verpackt in einer Hülle, die bei jedem Vinyl Sammler definitiv zum Orgasmus führen müsste. Yeaahhh...BUY OR DIE!!!

I've got an aversion against Dutch truck drivers in Tirolan winter traffic (always on their way with snow chains and moving at a snail's pace, our "cheesehead"-friends - even when the roads are perfectly salted!!!), this time they are the first in line and prove with the recent split 12" by AFTER ALL and DOUBLE DIAMOND, that the Metal underground in Belgium opens the attack on the almighty Italian/Swedish True Metal wave. In fact, with this vinyl every comment is a waste of time, because both bands totally convince at 100%! Rarely before, an album turned so many rounds on my record player like this one! AFTER ALL (to be compared with METALLICA like they sounded in the early nineties, but topping those nowadays wimped-out trendies with ease) and DOUBLE DIAMOND (who have got some trademarks from HAMMERFALL, but who lightly send the Swedish band back into the nearest woods) prove with two songs each, that they can have a say in the matter concerning metal in the near future! Both bands unleash a firework of steel riffs and thundering drum sounds, fit to awake the dead. Comparing the bands to one another DOUBLE DIAMOND have got the better cards on the table and have got the future metal-battle-hymn "Metal Rules" to make every Metal heart beat faster. As a bonus this gift of God is packaged in a cover which should bring every vinyl collector to an orgasm. Yeahhh...BUY OR DIE!!!
