Wunderbar, der Nachwuchs in Sachen Metal beschränkt sich nicht nur auf die Jagd nach den gerade aktuellen Trends. Die Jungs von Armory haben wohl alle Eltern, die auch Metalfans sind und der Truefraktion angehören. Das vorliegende Demo stellt schon von der Spielzeit etliche hochgejubelte Bands in den Schatten. Musikalisch trifft die Band auch größtenteils meinen persönlichen Geschmack. Na was wohl... US-Metal. Die teilweise etwas längeren Songs orientieren sich an den guten alten Tagen mit einem Schuss Eurometal gewürzt. Da lässt schon mal die eine oder andere bekanntere Band grüßen. Eine kleine Prise barocker und progressiver Elemente gestalten die Mucke zusätzlich abwechslungsreicher. Wenn der Sound noch druckvoller wäre, würde die Scheibe sicherlich noch besser rüberkommen. Jedenfalls verstehen die Jungspunde ihr Handwerk und man kann nur hoffen, dass sie nicht den Mut verlieren und den eingeschlagenen Weg weiter bestreiten. Mein persönlicher Hit ist "The dawn of enlightenment" mit einer Spielzeit von über 15 Minuten. Fazit: Support the underground!!

Wonderful, the Metal newcomers don't just follow actual trends. Guess these guys have all parents being Metal freaks and part of the True Metal fraction as well. This demo tops a lot of those hyped bands alone by its playing-time. And, what is more, they perfectly meet my personal taste. No question... US Metal. The partly longer songs are orientated backwards to the good old days with several Euro Metal influences. Thus you can hear several musical greetings of some well-known bands. Some baroc and progressive parts help to make the songs even more varied. What a pity but with a better sound this CD would kill even better. Nevertheless these guys know their jobs and I hope the won't lose their courage to follow their way. My personal hit is "The Dawn Of Enlightenment" with over 15 minutes playing-time! Finally, there’s only one thing left to say: Support The Underground!!

Armory is back! After three years of waiting and yearning, the guys finally have rereleased their phenomenal debut recording - completely remastered and revised, with an awesome cover artwork and a killer sound! Imagine an almost perfect blend of Edguy, Iron Maiden and Gamma Ray, add some aggression from Slayer or Megadeth and sophisticate it with the greater art of Savatage - if you need any more reason for buying this outstanding album, you're truly wrong on this site! A must-have!
