Warum Bands oftmals der Ansicht sind, das schwächste Stück an den Anfang zu stellen, werde ich wohl nie verstehen. Das langweilige "The unknown god" eröffnet das Zweitwerk von ARCTIC FLAME.

Zum Glück folgt das bessere, doomige "Blind leeding the blind" und mit "Lords of the wasteland" kehrt auch die Power zurück. Der etwas wenig variable Gesang geht zum Glück nicht in zu hohe Lagen und passt am besten zu einer Halbballade wie "Shadow of a broken man".

Noch nicht der ganz große Wurf, was ARCTIC FLAME hier vorlegen, aber Songs wie "Disciples of the flame" und eben "Sahdow of a broken man" zeigen das gute Potential der Band.

US-Metal with doomy influences and long songs. If you liked the Debut you can't go wrong with "Declaration" although the weakest song of the album was put on the beginning.

Powerful songs like "Lords of the wasteland" remember to fine 80s times. Check out the strong "Disciples of Steel" or "Shadow of a broken man". Not outstanding, but a good album with some really fine moments!
