Anaconda: Silent Rage

Eine typische Azra/Iron Works Angelegenheit gibt es mit der "Silent rage" MLP von Anaconda zu betrachten. Dank Uncle Dave kommen wir ja stets in den Genuss diverser US Provinz Bands, oder sagen wir Underground Bands, denen sich keiner annehmen wollte. Mit "Silent rage" startet die Scheibe (beide Seiten beinhalten die gleichen Tracks) in bester US Power Metal Manier kräftig durch und man neigt dazu sich selbst zu beglückwünschen angesichts des rohen Metals der sich wie Rost durch das stählerne Herz frisst. Dummerweise entpuppen sich die restlichen Tracks lediglich als normaler US Metal ("Life, on the strings" = Ballade), denen teilweise der nötige Biss (sprich die Power) fehlt. Glücklicherweise reicht das Gebotene immer noch aus, um "Silent rage" als fröhlich fetzige US Metal EP abzustempeln, ein Prädikat dass sich andere Bands ersteinmal verdienen müssen. Gewaltigen Anteil daran hat auch Rick Camden, dessen Vocals US Metal-typischer kaum hätten sein können. Braucht jeder US Metal Sammler!

Due to the passion and Metal instinct of Dave T. Richards we're able to honour another obscure underground US Metal troop on vinyl. "Silent rage" is the title and also the heaviest track on the whole MLP, while it's surely a fantastic and extremely remarkable Power Metal tune that will make your brain melting easily. "Surrender" and "Thousand rains" unfortunately can't offer that power anymore but still both are nice midtempo US Metal songs slightly above average (espcially "Thousand rains") and "Life, on the strings" is the ballad, each record has. One clear plus point of Anaconda is Rick Camden whose vocal style is in the typical US Metal vein including the high pitched screams of corpse. No need to compare them with other bands which is not possible at all since the whole material has a own note due to Rick Camden. Don't try to escape the Anaconda, it will be a big mistake for sure.
