Akilla: As for me as for you

"As for me as for you" is a quite obscure US Power Metal album which nowadays is very hard to find. Regarding the cover artwork, you'd already expect straight forward Metal and that is truely what you'll get! Akilla provide us with short, simple and hard songs and a very disappointing production. All songs concentrate on a certain level of quality but lack of a real highlight. The LP is a nice piece of US-Metal but should only be interesting for underground collectors.

"As for me as for you" ist eine recht obskure Power Metal Scheibe. Allein schon das kultige Hexen-Cover verleitet unwiderstehlich zum Kauf, auch wenn es dafür viel Geduld braucht, die Scheibe ist schwer zu finden. Auf dem Plattenteller dann werden die geweckten Erwartungen nicht enttäuscht: Akilla bieten kurze, einfache und raue Power Metal Songs, teils speedig, teils schleppend, aber furchtbar dumpf produziert. Insgesamt halten alle Songs ein ganz ordentliches Niveau, auch wenn mir (wie auch auf dem Nachfolger) die Höhepunkte fehlen. Das Album rumpelt sich wirklich nett über die Zeit, aber es bleibt kein Song richtig hängen. Dennoch grade für Sammler ein gefundenes Fressen.
