Aftermath: Straight from hell

This first EP from 1985 was a short and really hard, but fairly great debut for Aftermath. Straight ahead power songs that totally differ from the songs on their full length album "Don't cheer me up". That album had a horrible cover artwork and provided us with long and complex songs which were not as good as those on the EP. "Don't cheer me up" was also released on CD.

Dieses erste Lebenszeichen von Aftermath aus dem Jahre 1985 fiel kurz und heftig aus. Vier schnelle, harte aber auch typische US Songs, die ihren Titeln alle Ehre machen. Zwei Jahre später erschien mit "Don't cheer me up" der Nachfolger, der vor allem durch ein fürchterliches Cover abschreckt. Musikalisch legte man Wert auf lange Songs, die an Eingängigkeit und Spielfreude nicht an "Straight from Hell" heranreichen, aber für Liebhaber eine durchaus lohnende Anschaffung darstellen (gibt's als CD).
