Review

The cover seen above isn't the complete one, but just a part of it. The band usually planned the vampire to be a priest but somehow the artist fucked it up, maybe he was catholic? He simply replaced the dead priest with a dead vampire! I once picked up this record at a german second hand music shop in the mid 90's but nowadays you shouldn't expect it to be that easy anymore. When I saw the cover this record was already bought! Anyways, the sleeve looks much more promising for the most of you than the record sounds at all. Take a look at the songtitles, I'm sure you'd expect some Power/Speed Metal or something? You're right, they are speedy Power Metal BUT they also had an extreme Punk edge that I'm sure pure Metal fetishists won't like that much. Don't buy this record blindly, better listen first at the band's MySpace site f.e. and then decide if you really need it. It's quite an expensive fun nowadays to purchase "Killed by faith" and there are surely much more important true Metal albums around but however besides the punky feeling they've got an iron charme as well that somehow fits pretty well to their Punk influences, especially if they play their speed driven songs like "Danse of death". The riffing is simply perfect, jumping from Punk to Metal on a higher technical level, but never losing that typical R'n'R touch that most Punk Metal Bands can't get rid off. But I talk and talk...listen yourself! I'm not quite sure if this is a private pressing, the labels do look so at least.
