Oh my god what a find!!! I never heard from that Single until someone offered it. I took the risk to buy it, not knowing what to expect.
To make it short, it just blew me away upon first listening!!! Epic and atmospheric NwobHM, imagine a cross between ARC (WAR OF THE RING) and epic MANOWAR tracks as DARK AVENGER or the long version of DEFENDER!!! There is only one track on this Single, featured in two different versions, the "regular" version and a long version with narration, making this epic masterpiece even more atmospheric!
And to add to the legend, here a little side-story:
This single was recorded at WORMWOOD SCRUBS (prison in the UK), the band consisted of 3 criminals (all sentenced to life) and 3 prison warders. All royalties (if there have been any, what I doubt) have been donated to the Ethyopian Famine Relief and other local charities!
If you EVER see this single, and are into the epic MANOWAR tracks, LEGEND (From the Fjords), ARC, ASHBURY, ELIXIR (Son of Odin), HELL (Save us), take your chance!!
"BATTLE" is even better than my so-far favorite NwobHM Single "WAR OF THE RING", highest possible recommendation, a true masterpiece!!!
