Review

Artisan was a heavy metal band from Hull that was formed in 1985 and thoughout its life it put out two demos before releasing this extremely unknown and rare EP. "Reach out" and "Take my hand" are great songs with melodic guitars and very good vocals while "Rock n' roll" is beautiful but more hard rock and "Devil woman" a well done cover of Cliff Richard's song. I don't know in how many copies "Through till dawn" was made but I know only three copies in collections and never a single copy in sellers' lists or anywhere else for sale!! It seems that UK metal bands close to 90s were very skilled (e.g. SLANDER, WILD ALICE, WILD PUSSY, HUNGRY TOUCH, MASQUE to name a few) but extremely hard to find due to their obscurity at that time and ARTISAN for sure deserve a place among them!
