Review

Well, I waited for this album for so long! I'm following steps of Swiss Emerald from the very beginning: their debut "Rebels Of Our Time" released on their own was an interesting release, even if on a bit amateur level. Their second one "Calling The Knights" (later re-released on Shark Records with bonus tracks and new artwork) was a release that brought Emerald into the first league of European Epic Heavy Metal. On the brand new album (with a fantastic cover artwork painted by Jowita Kaminska, known from works for Exodus, Deceased and Hellfire), we will find again raw playing, that can bring comparisions to US Metal of the 80's: Medieval Steel (their cover tune was included on the "Callling The Knights"), Warlord, Virgin Steele (we can find a fantastic version of the "On The Wings Of The Night" hymn on the new album!) or sometimes even Deadly Blessing. Both compositions and musical skills of musicians goes hectars forward, with no doubt this is the best and most mature album in their career. If you want to listen piece of solid True Metal, that sounds different (and now worse!) than steel Manowar, then you have to get this one! "We are the emerald knights, the defenders of Metal and steel!"
