Review

Absolutely essential 7" for Power Metal fans. Released in 1998, this 2 track single takes you immediately back to the glorious days of Heavy Metal. Imagine a mixture of "Fast as a shark" and "Keep on rocking" and you'll know what the titletrack is all about. Fast Power Metal in a very German way, combined with over the top vocals which remind me a little bit of Chris Boltendahl. "Rock tonight" slows the tempo down, but that does not mean you have to stop headbanging and playing air guitar. The production is very powerful and blows your speakers, in other words: this single has to be heard loud. STEEL had been a fun project by some OPETH musicians, but with every single note you hear their passion for '80s Metal. I'm not sure about the pressing quantity but I've read that only 100 pieces were ever pressed, so don't count on finding a copy soon for less than 50€.
