"A Demonic Mistress from the Past" ist eine Sammlung größtenteils unveröffentlichter Songs des Hexenhaus-Vorgängers Maninnya Blade, die es Mitte der 80er zu einer LP-Veröffentlichung brachten. Geboten wird Thrash von seiner brachialsten Seite. Schnell, rau und heftig gingen die Schweden zu Werke und mähten alles nieder, was ihnen dummerweise im Weg stand. Dazu kann man stehen, wie man will, ich finde das nicht besonders beeindruckend, muss der Band aber durchaus Klasse attestieren. Hier wird nicht blind drauflosgeholzt, die Songs wirken durchdacht und sind auch textlich nicht ohne. Da diese Scheibe auf 500 handnummerierte Einheiten limitiert und in weißem Vinyl erschienen ist, stellt sie ein gefundenes Fressen für Sammler dar und sollte bei Interesse schnell geordert werden.

"A Demonic Mistress from the Past" is a collection of mostly previously unreleased tracks from Maninnya Blade, the predecessor of Hexenhaus. What you get is Thrash without any compromise. Fast, rough and furious, Maninnya Blade blow your mind. I personally do not like that too much, but the band did a really good job, the songs seem thought over and are lyrically quite interesting. This release is limited to 500 handnumbered copies in white vinyl, so collectors have to hurry up and get it!
