Eigentlich sind IN SOLITUE weniger doomlastig als man vom Namen oder vom Cover her annehmen könnte. Auch 70er Einflüsse wie etwa bei ihren Kollegen von WITHCRAFT sind kaum vorhanden.

IN SOLITUDE bewegen sich im typischen 80er Heavy Metal und Sänger Pelle Ahmann hat auch ein typisches 80er Metal-Organ wenngleich er auch mit den ganz großen Sängern (Messiah Marcolin oder Magnus Pelander) nicht ganz mithalten kann.

Im Song "Kathedral" hat man ein bisschen von STORMWITCH geklaut. Der Sound geht auch ganz leicht in die Richtung der ersten drei Platten dieser deutschen Band. Das gereicht der Band auch sicherlich nicht zum Nachteil auch wenn man deren songwriterisches Potential noch nicht immer erreicht. Das heißt jedoch nicht, daß das Album ein Abklatsch wäre oder uninteressant. IN SOLITUDE verstehen es spannende Songs zu schreiben (Beyond is where I learn) und lohnen sich für alle Fans des typischen 80er Metal ohne Trendeinflüsse und absolut europäischem Metal Sound.

A really fine band with some hints of the earlier STORMWITCH - albums and less doom influences than expected from the coverartwork or bands image.

The promising Debut shows good vocal-work and totally 80s sound and songwriting. This is to the bands advantage and will pleasure each fan of real Metal music without tons of useless modern sound-effects and overproduced "dead" sounds.

There is space for improvements left because not every song keeps the high standard, but all in all its really interesting stuff and worth to be checked out.
