Tomi Peltonen der ziemlich in Vergessenheit geratenen TORCH spielt bei GRIFFEN Gitarre und meiner Ansicht nach ist das Material weit stärker als es bei TORCH je war.

Wenn man vom Debutalbum absieht, war die schwedische 80er Band nicht wirklich ein Reisser und hat nur dadurch gewonnen, daß es eben eine 80er Band war.

Die melodische erdige Stimme von Jörgen Söderberg sollte Fans von RAINBOW, STAIRWAY und anderen englischen Hard Rock-Helden erfreuen. Die Kompositionen sind auch wirklich gut gelungen. Dagegen steht ein wirklich schlechtes und nichtssagendes Coverartwork was Euch hoffentlich nicht davon abhält, die Band anzutesten.

Tomi Peltonen who played the gitars with the 80s Metal-band TORCH joined GRIFFEN and in my opinion the musical material is much better than TORCH were. Ok, their Debut was nice, but the follow up material could not convince.

The melodic vocals from Jörgen Söderberg fit really good to the musical material which is made of fans of groups like RAINBOW or STAIRWAY.

Sadly the lower average coverartwork gives not a good impression from the quality of the band, so hopefully this will not hinder to many people to listen to the album.
