Cains Dinasty: Legacy of blood

CAINS DINASTY erinnern im ersten Song etwas an RIOT zu "The privilege of Power"-Zeiten. Dieser Eindruck währt nicht allzu lange. Es geht Richtung Epic Metal mit südeuropäischem Einschlag ("Remember the tragedy").

Zum Glück verabschiedet man sich auch davon wieder und "The journey" würde man jeder US-Power Metal-Band durchgehen lassen. Danach wirds wieder episch um zum Schluß wieder die Powerfraktion zu bedienen, jedoch zuweilen mit zuviel Keyboardeinsatz als Beimischung.

Mit den bekanntesten Bands Spaniens (ANGELES DEL INFIERNO, BARON ROJO, MURO, TIERRA SANTA oder ZARPA) könnten CAINS DINASTY musikalisch noch nicht mithalten, aber was nicht ist, kann ja noch werden. Die Ansätze sind da.

Die Unsitte Digipacks zu erstellen setzt sich leider auch in Spanien durch. Booklet gibts keines, dafür ein ziemlich leicht zerstörbares aufklappbares Digi. Schaut wohl stylisch aus, mir gefällts aber gar nicht. Jewelcases kann man wenigstens auswechseln wenn mal ein Zacken abbricht. Das Cover mit den lesbischen Vampirfrauen ist aber zumindest witzig.

Vocals and music remind at the first song a bit on RIOT at "The privilege of power"-times although CAINS DINASTY play less experimental and sometimes a twin-voice package gives another impression.

Musically there the band can be compared to RED WINE, ARKHANA or DARK MOOR. Influences from the bigger old names like BARON ROJO, ANGELES DEL INFIERNO, TIERRA SANTA, MURO or ZARPA are not really existing although CAINS DINASTY play traditional Metal with an epic touch.

The songlines vary in quality. Great Material like "Legacy of blood" stands beside more or less average and often heardt songlines like "Under the city lights" or the too pompous "Remember the tragedy".

The band shows also light US-influences ("The journey"). But mostly its epical european Metal. Sometimes speedy ("Infancia Eterna"), sometimes softer. A good vocalist and fine musicianship are the strong parts of the band. Songs need to be improved in order to have a chance against the competitors. Songs like "The legacy" would be a big step towards that aim.

Its obvious that the band has a lot of improving potential if they try to concentrate going their own way and avoiding to copy actual Metal-streams.

The coverartwork is funny with the vampire-woman. Sadly its all put in a easily destroyable Digipack without a booklet. A normal jewelcase is maybe less stylish but still more useful according to information and durability. More and more collectors don't want Digipacks, so lets hope there will be a second edition in normal jewelcase with a good booklet.
